Have you ever found yourself staring at an blank canvas in Flowable Design, unsure of where to begin? The new AI-assisted process and case modeling feature in Flowable is here to solve that problem. This innovative tool provides a quick start to your modeling tasks, allowing you to generate:
Case models
Process models
Forms
Complete applications
This new feature accelerates the modeling process, simplifies workflow creation, and makes it overall more efficient. The generated models are fully adaptable, giving you the flexibility to refine and customize them as needed. You can sign up for the Flowable trial to leverage the full power of Flowable's automation platform with AI-powered features.
Let's take a closer look at the new AI-assisted process modeling feature:
To start creating a new application, you need to provide a prompt, like the example below. Based on your description of the desired app, the AI will generate a customized set of models. This includes a central data dictionary containing all the necessary data structures, as well as a process and/or case model with various user tasks. Additionally, task forms will be automatically bound to the data structure. You can then continue modeling according to your specific requirements.
The AI will generate a central dictionary, a process with tasks and gateways, and task forms based on your prompt. If you're not satisfied with the result, you can refine the prompt and regenerate the models. The more detailed your description, the better the generated result will be. This new feature is a way of supporting you in modeling your processes faster and more accurately.
Flowable's new AI-assisted process and case modeling capability makes it easy to incorporate your existing models, such as service definitions or data structures, into newly generated models. This means you don't always have to start from scratch. For instance, imagine you have an existing service definition model with an operation to retrieve a credit score from an online service via REST. You want to use this service in a newly generated process. Here's how your prompt might look like:
Upon reviewing the generated process model, you'll notice that the service invocation has been seamlessly integrated into the process.
By opening the service task, you can see that the mappings have been correctly configured. This is achieved using GenAI, which leverages both the provided data structure (data dictionary) and the service model as context.
Flowable’s ability to integrate existing models ensures a smooth and efficient modeling process, allowing you to build on what you already have.
We began by showcasing how the new feature provides a solid starting point with templates or blueprints based on prompts and existing models and data structures. However, the possibilities extend far beyond this initial step. By leveraging Flowable’s new AI capability, you can:
Create drafts for data mappings: Generate typical data mappings to streamline your workflow.
Generate dashboards: Create dashboards based on descriptions, complex queries, or data structures.
Design data tables and forms: Develop data table designs and forms tailored to your specifications.
These features, and many more to come, will enhance Flowable, supporting modelers in their daily tasks and accelerating the design and development of Flowable applications.
